About Us

We aim to empower parents and carers to advocate for their child or young person by providing clear, confidential advice and to help families make informed decisions.  SENDIAS is independent and keeps information private and separate from the Local Authority and Clinical Commissioning Group.

We support by helping families express their views and understand their rights regarding exclusions, complaints, and SEND processes.  We adhere to the Minimum Standards for our advocacy services, providing support to families who require additional assistance.

How we make a difference

We offer telephone and email advice, updates on social media, information packs, virtual and face-to-face 1-1 support, drop-in sessions, online and face-to-face workshops, training for professionals and support to young people who access our service independently.
