We're here to help
I’m Dawn and I have worked for the Warwickshire SENDIAS Service for many years and before that, the Parent Partnership Service. I love supporting and helping people to make empowered choices regarding their child’s needs and getting their voices heard. I also enjoy supporting young people directly. From a personal perspective, I have a particular interest in mental health and support for both adults and young people. I hope that my experience enables me to be emphatic and understanding of the needs of children, young people and adults who experience mental health difficulties.
I’m Kate and joined SENDIAS in March 2024. I have worked in mainstream and specialschools and spent over 20 years working in a short breaks respite care home directlysupporting children with disabilities. I hope to make a difference to children and families andprovide information to assist them. In my spare time I enjoy art and crafts.
I'm Cassy and have been working with SENDIAS for just over a year. I have a social work background and I am a Mum of three. One of my children has SEN so I have some insight into the unique rewards and challenges special needs parenting can bring. I enjoy chatting to parents and hopefully helping them on their journey. When I'm not working I enjoy running and going to the gym, and also relaxing in front of the TV with my crochet!
Hello, my name is Crystal and I have recently joined Warwickshire SENDIAS service. I have worked within the SEND/Education field for over half a decade. I have worked within other SENDIAS services, Local Authorities and schools/colleges in a variety of different roles, providing me with vast experience and knowledge of the field. I want to work for SENDIAS as it is a very rewarding role, and I enjoy supporting and empowering children, young people and families with SEND with information about the law and their rights.
A fun fact about me is that I love to sing (much to my neighbour's delight!) and I am part of a choir.
Hi, I'm Elaine, and I've been working with children and families for over 25 years. Most of this experience is gained from managing a variety of settings, including opening an early years and out-of-school care provision, overseeing quality assurance for an LA as a Childcare Regulations Advisor, and managing family support services through Children and Family Centres. I've now been managing the Warwickshire SENDIAS Service for the past five years, during which I've achieved advanced SEND Law training. As a mother of two grown children, I enjoy the variety of this role, which includes directly supporting families while also taking a strategic lead for the service. This involves working with partners across education, health and social Care sectors to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
